Malia
Instructor
About
Malia (she/her) started pole dancing in February 2019, when she turned 45 and wanted to find a way to partner with her body as it started to age. Then in June of 2019 she had a spinal event that has led to 3 back surgeries in the past five years. Each time, Boudoir and Pole dance have been a huge part of her recovery. As an instructor she lives by her belief that every single body can dance, no matter what you perceive as your limitations; age, weight, strength or lack thereof, or short or long term disability.
Outside of pole dancing, Malia’s favorite thing in the world is her family (husband and kiddo). Boudoir dance is in second place, with scuba diving coming in right behind. If she is ever off the schedule , it is very likely that she has left to go somewhere with warm water; apparently being born in Hawai’i and now living in Seattle does not compute to her body.
